Children’s Classes

Nursery Teachers: Connie Horton and Morgan Smith; Ms. Connie and Ms. Morgan teach about God’s love through loving touch, station play, and meeting the children’s needs.  The teachers instruct the children about God on their developmental levels.  Boys and girls aged infant through two years old are welcome. 

3 Year Olds-Kindergarten—Teachers: Wanda Boyce and Donna Pruitt; Wanda and Donna teach the weekly Bible lesson using interactive, age appropriate techniques. The children receive handouts to take home for the families to review with the children throughout the week.

1st-2nd Grade—Teachers: Nancy Carter and Joyce Bryant; Joyce and Nancy teach the weekly Bible lesson using interactive, age appropriate methods. These students begin learning Bible basics including book names, looking up scriptures, and understanding the bible. The children in this class often participate in worship service by serving as a bible carrier as the acolytes light the candles. These students also participate in worship on occasion through acting in dramas led by the class teachers.

3rd-5th Grade— Teacher: Phyllis Hedgepeth; Phyllis teaches the weekly Bible lesson using interactive, age appropriate methods. The children in this class often participate in worship service as acolytes who light the candles. These students also participate in worship on occasion through acting in dramas led by the class teacher.

Youth Class—Teachers: Youth Team Leaders; The youth class consists of sixth through twelfth graders and split up into two groups when needed.  The students often study the bible and its applications on their lives

Adult’s Classes

ACTS Class—the ACTS Class is comprised of young adults—whether single or married.  Many of these class members have young children, and the Sunday School lessons often challenge the members to be better followers of Christ, better parents, better employees, etc.  The members usually are post-college working professionals.  The Sunday School material often is drawn from a multitude of published items—from books, magazines, Sunday School publications, etc.  The class typically chooses what topics/areas of interest it wants to study.  The format is largely discussion-oriented.

COFFEE Class—the COFFEE Class consists of adult men and women regardless of marital status and age. The class format is a mixture of teacher-led instruction and discussion of relevant topics.  The class also engages in missions and ministries outside of the class.  They are loving and welcoming and invite you to come learn with them.

Joyce Ann Harrell Class—the Joyce Ann Harrell Class consists of adult men and women regardless of marital status and age. The class format is a mixture of teacher-led instruction and discussion on the material.  The class also engages in social activities outside of the Sunday morning meeting time.  They frequently take trips together, enjoy fellowship within the community, and engage in many ministries of the church.

Taylor-Brittle Class—the Taylor-Brittle Class consists of adult men and women regardless of marital status and age. The class format is teacher-led instruction and discussion about the lesson.  The class members are often found participating within the circles and found serving within the church as they respond to many ministries, mission activities, and opportunities to offer love and care within the church.
