bcc kidz family field day july 2016

The BCC Kidz and their families bravely faced the heat at our Field Day to unlock all of the answers to our challenge question:

What does God have planned for families?

Here are the five answers the KIDZ unlocked:

#1 Care for one another: our BCC Kidz learned to care for one another, just like Ruth cared for her mother-in-law Naomi (Ruth Ch. 1 & 2). Our kids brought eggs to their parents in a good old-fashioned egg/spoon race.

#2 Obey your parents: our BCC Kidz learned to obey their parents by following their parents’ directions. Our kids were blindfolded and equipped with water balloons as they had to listen carefully to their parents’ directions in order to land the water balloons safety in the bucket that was resting on their parents’ heads.

#3 Learn from your parents: our BCC Kidz and families used panty hose and tennis balls to knock over 3 water bottles, which contained the location of a specific Bible verse on the bottom. The kids then took the Bible verse to their parents and listened as they learned the 10 Commandments.

#4 Trust in God: our BCC Kidz learned the differences between ‘wants’ and ‘needs’ and learned to put their trust in God to provide for their needs. After correctly identifying water as a need, the BCC Kidz and families had to transfer water from one end of the field to the other using a cup filled with holes... all while crossing one GIGANTIC slip-n-slide!

#5 Help One Another: our BCC Kidz and families were challenged to complete the puzzle enclosed in each family’s box. They soon learned that they must all work together to figure out the puzzle’s message since each family only had one section of the puzzle!
